Creatine HCL works well because adding the hydrochloride group to creatine molina lowers the pH of creatine, making it more acidic, which drastically increases its solubility in fluids. Any ingredients you've precipitated to the bottom of a cup are ingredients that will settle in your intestines and not be properly absorbed. Creatine HCL in the laboratory has been shown to be approximately 40 times more liquid soluble than creatine monohydrate.
